PUPPY RAISER
When you sign on to be a Puppy Raiser, you help survivors of abuse have access to the PTSD Service Dogs they need.
We can't do what we do without volunteers like you!
LIVE IN INDIANAPOLIS
Here is where all the magic happens! If you live in/near the city, we'd love to have you help out.
You'll work closely with our Founder and Head Trainer to learn what you need to know.
HAVE A DOG-FREE HOME
Exceptions can be made for Dog Training Professionals.
Dogs always teach each other - and this can work for or against us! For the most part, we prefer our Puppy Raisers have dog-free homes.
PASS A BACKGROUND TEST
We want to make sure our dogs are going to safe and stable homes, so we ask all of our volunteers to take a background test.
LIVE IN A SINGLE-FAMILY HOME
Sometimes roommates or other families can make training difficult to manage! For that reason, we ask our Puppy Raisers to live in single-family homes.
OTHER TYPES OF VOLUNTEERING
FUNDRAISE
Work on our Fundraising Team to help either throw events here. in Indianapolis, or do regular fundriaisng work online.
Depending on your insterests, you may be able to help out in unique ways as well.
Fundraising Chairs can expect to put in 1hr-3hrs of work per month.
JOIN THE BOARD
Our Board of Directors is 50% national, and 50% local (to Indinapolis), and consists of a wide spectrum of professionals - from therapists and lawyers to social media specialists and creatives.
We meet 7 times a year on Saturday mornings, and terms last for 2yrs - durring which you can epect to work 3hrs a month on your role.
OTHER STUFF
Sometimes, we get to use Volunteer energy super creatively, depending on what we have going on for the next year.
This could look like donating your talents to help us fundraise, writing blogs, creating special content, or maybe something new we haven't thought of yet - Tell us what you've got in mind!
