About the event

Purpose

The book club seeks to:

  • Offer a safe and inviting space for conversation.

  • Promote healing through shared stories and experiences.

  • Delve into literature that highlights resilience, recovery, and empowerment.

Book Selection

Every month, we will select a book that explores different aspects of healing from abuse. Suggestions are encouraged! Here's what's on the lineup:

  • July: I'm Telling the Truth, but I'm Lying: Essays by Bassey Ikpi

  • August: I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

  • September: What My Bones Know: A Memoir of Healing from Complex Trauma by Stephanie Foo

  • October: Hidden Valley Road: Inside the Mind of an American Family by Robert Kolker

Confidentiality

All discussions in the book club will be kept confidential to ensure a secure and trusting atmosphere for all members.

We hope to see you there!
